Dogs & Suds Event
Dogs & Suds is Warrick Humane Society's largest annual fundraiser; we use funds raised by this event to support our "no-kill" shelter. This years event will take place from 2PM - 10PM on October 5th, 2013 at the Old Lock and Dam in Newburgh, IN. This year we plan to have live music all day from local blues musicians! Here is our tentative schedule of events:
2PM - 3PM: Honey Roy (Band)
2PM - 8PM: Kids Area Open, we will have inflatables and games in this area!
2PM - 8PM: Pet Photos
2PM - 4PM: Microchipping & Rabies Clinic
2PM - 5PM: Dog Baths & Nail Trims
3PM: Catch the Rabbit Kids Race & Registration for Pet Contests Begin
3:30PM: Dogs & Suds 5K
3:45PM - 4:45PM: Blind-Dog Gatewood (Solo Artist)
5:30PM - 6:30PM: 3 Shades of Gray (Band)
6:30PM: Dog Walk
6:45PM: Pet Contests
5:40PM: 5K Awards (may be earlier if results are posted sooner)

The 4th annual Dogs & Suds 5K will take place on 10/5/13 at 4PM. Cost is $20 before 9/15 and $25 after 9/15. You can sign up by mailing a paper copy of the registration to Warrick Humane Society:

Course
The 5K course will start at the Old Lock and Dam on Hwy. 662 and be an out and back on French Island Trail. Click here for a map of the current course.
Race Divisions
5K Walk: No age divisions
5k Run: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60 & up.
5K Entry Fee
$20 before 9/15 and $25 after 9/15. Only pre-registered participants are guaranteed a t-shirt.
Packet Pickup
Runners and Walkers can pick up their packets at Anytime Fitness between 2PM and 7PM on 9/28; we will also be registering runners and walkers at this time.
Packet pickup will also be available at the Old Lock and Dam on 9/29 from 2PM to 4PM.
5K Run / Race Walk Awards

Run with the Dogs
Registered runners may run with their dogs during the race. Dogs and their runners must start in the back. Dogs must be on a leash and stay within the eyesight of the runner for the WHOLE race. Special award to the Top Dog!
Catch the Rabbit Kids Race
Join us for the 1st annual "Catch the Rabbit" kids race. The Kids race will be a 0.25-0.50 mile run on the Run / Walk on the Newburgh Rivertown trail; while running, the kids will try and catch one of our volunteers dressed up like a rabbit. The rabbit will have 5 flags attached to their costume - the first 5 kids to return to the finish line with a flag will get a prize. All finishers will get a medal. The race will begin at the Old Lock and Dam at 3PM; the cost to participate is $10. You can sign up by mailing a paper copy of the registration to Warrick Humane Society:

We will be announcing the line up of local blues bands once we have it set!
Dog Walk
Individuals and Teams are encouraged to sign up for our annual dog walk. The walk starts at the Old Lock and Dam and goes to the intersection of Water Street and IN-662 and back.
We are currently offering the following prizes for individuals and teams that participate in fundraising efforts:

Dog Activites and Games
There are plenty of activites for your four legged friends at Dogs and Suds! Halloween themed and Dogs and Suds themed pet photos will be taken in the Old Lock and Dam building. You can also get your pet microchipped for $20 or bathed for $10.

Food and Beverages
We will have food for purchase from BBQ Barn, Chick-Fil-A, Papa Johns, Just Rennies, & Acapulco. KC's Timeout Lounge will be supplying our Beer Garden with beverages. Local Music group Gonzo's Toybox will also be playing in our Beer Garden from 6PM - 10PM. We will be charging a $5 per person entry fee after 5PM. 5K runners and walkers get free admission to the event if they show their race bib at the door.

With the help of our sponsors, Warrick Humane Society is actively trying to minimize the impact of our events on the enviroment. Please do your part by making sure you recycle while at the event!
