Warrick Humane Society was incorporated in 1983 and opened its No Kill shelter on Vann Road in 1997. Our mission is to
end the animal overpopulation crisis in the community, find homes for homeless and neglected animals and provide educational
programs and community services for the mutual benefit of animals and people.
To
assist in funding our mission, WHS operates the Home Away Pet Spa grooming facility next to WHS adoption center. All
the proceeds from Home Away Pet Lodge are used to support the mission of the organization.Warrick Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization. Donations are tax
deductible to extent allowed by law.
We operate as a "No-Kill"
center in Newburgh, Indiana. Since opening, WHS has saved more than 8,000 animals in the Tri-State area.
WHS is dedicated to the job of providing care to homeless animals. Currently, WHS offers an extensive healthcare program
for all adoptable animals entering our shelter. Every animal is temperament and health tested, vaccinated, wormed, flea-treated,
bathed and held in quarantine for ten days. Every animal is spayed or neutered before going into its new home, so we
never add to pet overpopulation.
