Harley is our dog of the week ...

Hi Everyone!

My name is Harley, I got that name cause when I was a little guy I would growl while I was being burped.

My story starts on a warm day at the end of September, I was hanging out with my family, enjoying the weather when suddenly my mom thought it was important to move me and my brothers and sisters someplace else. We didn't understand why but we curled up and let her move us. While my mom was moving me something happened and she dropped my on something hard, I got scared and started to cry and crawl around to find her but couldn't ... you see, I was only about 2 days out and I couldn't hear or see anything!! Suddenly I felt a big vibration and something swooped me up off the ground. Scared me half to death and I had NO idea what was going on.

A few minutes later I was someplace warm, there were people there that smelled good. Then out of nowhere someone gave me something tasty and my belly was full in NO time!! Turns out some nice lady found me in the middle of the road, picked me up and took me to the Warrick Humane Society in Newburgh, IN. The ladies there were very nice to me and made me very comfortable. I missed my mom and family but this wasn't so bad. Now came the time for them to figure out where I was going to go from here. Two of the ladies decided they would take turns taking care of me. My first couple days was very hard, I was having trouble with the puppy milk they were giving me, I had a horrible tummy ache, runny poo and wouldn't stop crying. My two foster moms worked together and figured out what was wrong and how to fix it. They made me a special, homemade puppy formula with all natural ingredients and a few extra things in it to make me grow strong and feel better.

When I came to the shelter I weighed 14 oz, I am now a whopping 4lbs at 3 1/2 weeks old!! My eyes are open, I can hear stuff and I am discovering all sorts of new stuff! Life is good!!
